New Year's Eve 2009

The kids set up the chairs and took a train ride to the "big city". When we asked them what they were going to do in the big city they said they were going to dance. Obviously, what else would you do on New Year's Eve! Below Solly is blowing the train's horn to let Hannah and Annie know they have reached the big city and it is time to boogie.

Hannah and Annie playing some songs on the piano.

Watch out Solly, they've got you surrounded!

As the night wore on, the kids got progressively wilder...NOTE the band-aid on Hannah's forehead. But that didn't stop them or even slow them down for that matter--what a great night!

They didn't quite make it until mid-night, but that had a lot more to do with us wanting to go to bed than them. Happy New Year everyone!

Christmas Day

Pedro enjoyed the tree and the presents!

Annie, Uncle Phil and Aunt Rachel check out Annie's little DVD player for the car.

St. Lucia Day

Arriving on 4-wheeler

Katie thought the wreath looked edible!

Here Katie, have some hay instead.

Last weekend we celebrated St. Lucia Day. Annie brought brunch over to Oma Annelies and Opa George's house. Maybe next year we'll think about adding the candles to the wreath.

Hannah stopped in for a visit!!

Peter, Jeanne and Hannah were up this weekend and stopped in for dinner with us. It is amazing how much fun these two have when they get together! They played for hours without a single fight over a toy or food. They watched the wheels on the bus video...and were synchronized with their hand movements, they jumped on the couch and Hannah pulled Annie around the living room on a blanket. We can't wait to hang out with them again!

SNOW!

The road was pretty slippery!

Annie's Theory on Dinosaur Extinction
